Hi, I’m Don.
I started American Grit & Gear because I believe the values that built this country still matter.
Faith.
Family.
Freedom.
Hard work.
Personal responsibility.
And the everyday grit it takes to build a life worth coming home to.
Like a lot of Americans, I’ve spent years working with my hands, raising a family, pursuing creative dreams, and trying to leave something meaningful behind. Along the way, I realized there were plenty of brands selling products, but very few celebrating the people who still live by those values every day.
American Grit & Gear was created to do exactly that.
We’re a small family-owned brand inspired by the people who get up before sunrise, work through challenges, support their families, serve their communities, and remain grateful for the freedoms we enjoy every day.
Why I Started AGG
I’m a second-generation American.
My grandfather came through Ellis Island chasing the opportunity this country offered. He worked hard, built a life, and never took any of it for granted. We were proud to be here — and that pride showed in everything he did.
My father carried that same spirit. He served in World War II in the European Theater, doing his part to defend the very freedoms we live under today.
Growing up, I heard their stories. Stories of sacrifice, hard work, gratitude, and appreciation for what this country stands for. Those stories didn’t just stay stories — they shaped how I see America.
Because of them, I don’t just feel it — I believe it.
We live in the greatest country in the world.
Over the years, I’ve worn my share of patriotic gear — tees, hoodies, jackets, and hats that showed pride in this country. And I always noticed something:
When you wear it, people notice.
Sometimes it starts a conversation.
Sometimes it’s a simple nod of respect.
Sometimes it’s a reminder that we’re not alone in what we value.
That’s when it hit me.
Why not create something that allows people to wear that pride boldly — something that represents where we come from, what we believe, and what we stand for?
That’s how American Grit & Gear was born.

Every AGG product is made specifically for you when you place your order.
Instead of sitting in a warehouse waiting to be sold, your item is produced after you purchase it. This helps reduce waste while allowing us to offer a growing collection of designs and products.
Because each order is made for you, production and shipping may take a little longer than a large retail chain — but we believe it’s worth the wait.

One thing we dislike as customers is finding unexpected charges at checkout.
That’s why AGG offers Free USA Shipping on many products whenever possible and clearly displays pricing before you complete your purchase.

American Grit & Gear designs are created in the United States.
Many of the apparel and product blanks we print on are manufactured by established global apparel companies and may be produced outside the United States before printing and fulfillment.
Whenever available, product origin information can be found in individual product descriptions.
We believe in being transparent so you can make informed purchasing decisions.
